I'm just getting back into this game heavily after losing ALL of my computer software in a robbery late last year. Luckily Wiz 8 can still be found brand new for $20 at Gamestop, but I digress....

My problem is that I've learned how to access the first secret dungeon in the cemetery. I've also seen in other posts that it's not that big a deal and can be skipped without suffering any major loss of equipment. My problem is that my party no longer has any plain vanilla daggers, and I can't find one on any of the vendors from the Monastery to Trynton. I figure I'm just not doing something right or I'm having horrible luck with the lists of available items on the vendors, so I go out to the Arnika Road area where all the Higardi guys are and they're not dropping regular daggers either!

Please tell me where or how I can obtain a new dagger, and help satisfy the completist in me!!

Burz at the monastery is probably the best bet. Save before you talk to him, and try reloading a few times to get a different inventory. You can also try camping out and seeing if that helps, should reloading not work. Best of luck ;)

Flamestryke's site ( www.flamestryke.com )says, and I can vouch for its veracity, that the following vendors can sell plain vanilla daggers:
Antone
Burz
Crock
Kunar

There is apparently also a set location in Lower Marten's Bluff. If I remember right, its in the haunted part.

I never would have thought I'd get a reply so quickly. It's good to see that even after a couple years there's still so much interest in Wiz 8. It truly is one of the most underappreciated RPG's out there.

Dedzy is right. There's a dagger in the hallway just outside the secret door lading to Marten's room in Martens Bluff.
