I restarted the game using multiplayer so I can use the party that I wanted, but now I cant seem to get the Umar Hills quest. Its not on my map and I cant find the NPC that asks me to go there. Can someone refresh my memory? Thanx

I got the umar hills quest from a boy at the city gates. I think his name began with a 'D', not sure though

Hmm.. Ya I thought it was a kid, but I just didnt know where. I have been through the gate area numerous times. Anyone know any way to force a quest to get started, or am I just outta luck with that one? If so, what did I do wrong to keep it from being given to me? I did Trademeet first going to the druid ring and then went to Windspear Hills. Maybe you have to have a specific NPC in your party in order to get that quest? (since I only have my own personal hand-made char's in multiplayer)

hmmm, isn't the Umar Hills quest from the garden in the Government District? I think the gate one is the Trademeet quest... not completey certain though

I'm pretty sure that the NPC you must meet in order to start the Umar Hills quest is a boy named Delon. I have encountered him twice in two different places (in different versions of the game, the second time after a reload). The first time, I met Delon in the Bridge District, and the second time was at the City Gates; the point in common was that I was making my first return to the city (after the reconquest of Nalia's keep).

However, I had Minsc in my party on both occasions, and he is the character who interacts with Delon. Considering that (as you'll find out very soon after you get to the Umar Hills) the town feels that it is in need of a ranger, I speculate that you may need Minsc in your party -- or possibly just a ranger? -- in order to be offered this particular quest.
