I have recently purchase BG2 and to my dismay can't refrain myself from play it 24 hours a day!!!

I am fairly new to this type of game so this might seem a sipmly question, but neither less, can some one humour me and provide some assitance.

One of my mages has been petrified!! 8^(

Aye, there is hope. Mages are able to memorize a 6th level spell called "Stone to Flesh", or you can by a Stone to Flesh scroll. This is the only way to do it. It will not work if the character was broken into little pieces after being turned to stone. You might want to consider casting Protection from Petrification on a few of your guys when fighting petrifying monsters. I'm not exactly sure what level the Protection from Petrification is, or whether its a mage or cleric spell. Hope this answers your question.
