Name: Techno-mage
Abilities: -at level 1: create 5 flash grenades once a day(causes blindness in a radius of 5 meteres, -2 save modificator. inceases by one casting a day per 5 levels) -at level 5: begins to progress normally as a mage (up to level 6 spells). -Level 10: create 1 acid grenade(equivilant to the icewind dale spell acid storm___________can create 1 per day and can carry no more than 5 at a time because they're too dangerouse) Level 12with the correct common components can create wepons, armour boots... Level 17 Gains following abilities: enchant with fire, ice, acid or electricity a weopon. Can not be combined with other elemental damages or with +1 +2 etc... abilities unless the technomage has created these wepons. Level 20: Gains the following special abilities: enchant with +1, double damage against a certain creature, give item the following abilities: turn owner invisible 1/day, +1 armour class bonus, protection from normal missiles. Level 25+ enchant with +5, Create death grenade( casts death spell) create lock opener(always unlock), mini cannon:two handed wepon that fires:explosive grenades(as per fireball spells), fast bullets(single magic missile 10shots per round) or a jet of flame(4 power aganazers scorcher). Disadvantages:May carry NO armour(mage robes included) may not use any wepon but dagggers and hammers (and the weopons he or she creates) Requires at least 17 intelligence and 16 wisdom Must be human. |
I think it's very good but dwarves should be able to do it too.

I think that the techno mage should be dwarf only, as it seems a more dwarfy type thing.

I think gnomes should make it as dwarves seem to be fighters, i mean just look at jan, he's kind of a techno-mage isnt he?

I've always been partial to the name techno-mancer (a mage-ish type class that works with technology, along a similar vein with tinker gnomes [img]smile.gif[/img] )

I like it. Although you need to modify the kit to include Lords of Acid playing in the background while twirling glow-sticks. :D

I was, once upon a time, working on a campaign setting for Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and Silmarillion. I designed a class called the Smith the was somewhat similiar (in intent more than abilities). Basically it was a character with minor magical powers and fighting abilities as a cleric who could make magical items. Dwarves and Noldorin Elves could be Smiths. Never finished the damned thing, though...
