In the den of the shadowlord I have completed the quest by just walking past the Dragon Was I sposed to do this if not how do I kill it?
2nd Question I am a Ranger and have just..ish got my stronghold what do I do there?
3rd Question <-Is that how you spell question, it dosn't look right. Anyway I have again justish saved Madulf & Atta? and Madulf went to look for his friend and now I can,t find him anywhere!

1) Yes, you were supposed to wolk right by the dragon. killing it is not part of the quest but you are welcome to try. it is possible, do a search for shadow dragon as this part of the question has been answered many times already.
2) Strongholds are for keeping treasure in and resting (in some). There may also be small amounts of experience involved in the upkeep.
3) Yes, that is how you spell question and i can't help with madulf and atta.

The dragon is worth killing, as it has a very important item, but I waited until later in the game to kill it. As with the red it's tough!

the Shadow dragon was not a big deal .. plane protection and haste your party .. i did it in 1 min .. His breath weapon is not to be afraid if you are protected with the spell.

When I saw that I killed this one with no one dead in my gang, I just walked back to challenge the Red one, and I did it in 5 sec!!! Mins has the silver blade and on the second attack he killed it! I did not beleive it but it was very funny.
