How do I start a romance with the women in my party? I have been reading other posts about the subject and it sounds fun but I am not sure what I need to do.

Thank you,
Zaq Bluestar

It happens by itself, provided you live up to the character's standards (or something). That's usually being human, or half-elf at the very most. The female NPCs that start romance threads are Jaheira, Aerie and Viconia.

Well it depends which female party members you have. If you picked up Jaheira that is the one that will develope first, and is also the slowest to develope. Don't expect any obvious results for some time, and respond to her dialogue the way you would someone you care about.
Aerie is another alternative, but not if you have already started the dialogue with Jaheira. I never developed this one so I can't say how it goes.
Viconia is the final option. She's angry and extremely abusive in the early stages but she comes around.

Actually I found that even if you have Aerie and Jaheira in the party, which I currently do, the romances for both still happen. It's rather funny to listen to them both too, you get some real catfights going between those two. Eventually I believe you have to choose between the two though. still it's funny listening to them argue.

Being an Elf works too as two of the girls are full Elves and one Half Elf.
Anyone played a Dwarf, Gnome or Half Orc and got a romance?
I know lil'man, a Halfling, had a romance with Aerie.

Not sure if an elf is a match for Viconia. Player characters are always presumed to be high elves, who are the supposed nemesis of the drow.
