how will we take the the piece of the rod below??? in the below i pass the bridge by answering the questions? ab then i went into the temple there is creature(it has wings)i couln't kill it do you have to kill it i did't found the rod from the altar please help how will i get the rod ???

In order to destroy the guardian in the temple, you need to actually heal it instead of hitting it. The avatar will then appear and give you half of the rod.

It was a bit hard to understand what you meant but...
To beat the beast inside temple use healing spells (cure light wounds, serious wounds etc) on him. To get rod you must get 1st part (first) which you get from a guy after you kill the beast in temple. 2nd lies in beholders lair in lower parts of unseeing eye place (you will know).

Did this quest for the first time last night....trying to take on Wandering Horrors & Greater Mummies with a Level 9-10 party with only 1 +3 weapon among them.....And all the while thinking, "Man! I had BETTER get more than just ONE F***ing Rep point out of this...."

I tried 1 or 2 Healing spells on the demon, just to see if that's how you do it, but they didn't do much good. So I went back upstairs & slept, went back for another shot. I walk into the room, and the demon dies instantly. Okaaaayy..... Not gonna complain about it, though.

ROFLMFAO I just did the temple part of the quest, if you have Jan and Keldorn in your party here you get an awesome dialogue about Oghma passed out drunk on one of Jan's cousin's lawn.
