I gave it to Edwin by acident. Thaught that it probably wasn't important. He is now a woman and has had no detectable god like abilities. What else happens and how can i revert him to the egotistical old fart he was before?

Wait, I think, 10 days after being transformed and a mage will approach Edwin. Just follow the dialogues and Eddy will be turned back into a man.

He'll turn himself back to himself eventually. I don't believe anything else will happen because of the scroll.

Actually, before he turns into a woman, he says that he is studying the scroll to unlock its inner secrets (or something like that) and he gets a bunch of experience and a big boost to his lore score (how did I notice that? it became a lot easier to ID items after that). Then, a few days later, things go horribly wrong, and he is transformed. It was funny at first, but I rapidly got annoyed at the Joan Rivers-like voice, and I was glad when the mage appeared and changed him back. It was a surprise though, because I didn't connect that mage (who you initially avoid) with the act of changing him back.
