I am in the Asylum dungeon level trying to get out.I have killed Dace but I need a stake to kill him, and I guess to get his hand to access the other levels.
My question is:
1. Is there a stake in the level?I have walked around and dont seem to be able to find any.Have I missed out on something or was I meant to bring a stake with me from the mainland?Damn I hope not, I hate redoing the game especially over what might be an inanity.
2.If there is no stake in the level is there any other way of getting past this point?Do I really need a stake???
3. The portal?Does it go anywhere special?I killed the monsters that came from it, and a djinn gave me the doomplate armour but it seems to have closed up now.Can I go through it?Is there something else I need to do??
*sigh*please help???!!!!I would hate to have to reload a very old save game just because I didnt have a stake .

dont worry there is a stake somewhere in that level... (even the area) you should find a hidden door wherein you will be able to fight some kobolds (i think...its been awhile since i played)
once you got the armor... nothing else there... so try to figure out that blasted statue blocking your way..

Spoiler: Right where you came into the level (in the room with the open book on the floor- which you can click to get some monsters to kill if you want), there's a secret door (top left of the screen). You'll face some kobolds, and then more, and then more (there's a rat's nest of kolbolds). One of them should have a stake on him (also, you'll get a crystal shard when you've killed them all, which along with Dace's hand is the key to getting out of that part of the dungeon)
