All that I noticed is that the Phase Spider can hit +5
|
Do the additional forms that the Avenger can shapeshift into (baby wyvern, sword spider, salamander) have attacks that count as +? weapons in terms of what hey can hit? I know the Shapeshifter kit's werewolf and greater werewolf count as +3 and +4 weapons in terms of what they can hit. Any info is appreciated.

Actually, the Werewolf attack is considered a +2 weapon and NOT a +3. Pure evidence of this is the fact that a shapeshifter CAN'T hit an Iron/Adamantic Golem while in the Werewolf form.

Jon,
Do you mean sword spider or phase spider? Or is the phase spider just a sword spider (attacka and all) with an additional phasing ability? I have an Avenger character saved. Maybe I will load him up and go see is he can hit Kangaxx as a sword spider. |
I meant the Sword Spider.

Thanks, Jon.
I liked he Avenger early in the game, but it got boring and repetitive as the game went on. I ran around with just Aerie for awhile and completed many of the quests. For battles I would shapeshift the Avenger into the sword spider and have Aerie cast Improved Haste and a couple of Strength spells on him and let him go to town. The AC of -6 for the Sword Spider along with its 5 base attacks made it a killing machine. I don't remember if the Improved Haste gave him 10 attacks or not (something else to go back and look at). I would usually have Aerie stay invisible (also wearing the Cloak of Non-Detection) and cast supporting Mage and Cleric spells. It worked well for the most part. Once I got the Staff of the Magi and gave that to Aerie, she became a killing machine herself. Oh well, can't wait to see how far Druids can go in the expansions. |
