Hello,
I was wondering how you would calculate the Hit Points for a multiclassed character? For example, i'm a |

I was going to say that i'm a mage/thief and a constitution of 16. Thats a HP bonus of +2. A mage had a d4 and thief a d6. When I level up, what hitpoints do I gain? Only half of that d4 as my magelevelup and half of that d6 as thief? And the constitution bonus, is it only a onetime bonus? Thanks, |
Ok, if you're playing normal rules, this is what happens:
when you gain enuff exp to advance to the next mage level, you will gain (4 + 2)/2= 3 hps when your thief class levels up, you gain (6 + 2)/2= 4 hps Basically, your hp will increase by 1/2 of what it normally would when you play a single class character Hope this helps! |
I always wondered about this, Jaheira's hitpoints always seemed to suck through BG - now I know why. How come though, Aerie only gets 1 hp whether she levels up as a cleric or a mage? Is this due to constitution minus' or has she reached level 9/9 already (can't remember and I don't have BG2 installed ATM)

Hmm usefull but I doubt that the constitution bonus is added every lvlup. According to my BG2 manual, a fighter with CON 19 gets 4 extra HP adj. He has also a d10. So he would get 14 HP every lvlup? That's a hell lot of HP :/
Thank you for your reply Regz, gvs |
