Simply way to kill large groups of beholders and guarths? Equiping 3 things. Cloak of mirroring, ring of free action and a sword that grants immunity to charm and fear (lilacor, equalizer, etc.) ALL of their attacks are reflected back on them and eventually kill them while you just stand there and laugh. Watch out for elder orbs though as i havent found a way to block inprisonment yet......

If you have the bonus cd files installed, here's an even better one.
Equip Shield of Balduran full stop.
This shield reflects beholder rays back to themselves (meaning that if you fight a group of the little nasties, they will keep charming themselves and even fight for you http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif)

Shield of Balduran(reflects back Beholder rays) and any weapon.

If it wasn't for the Cloak/Shield, beholders would be right up there with Mind Flayers and Dragons and Liches as the toughest opponents
