I am trying to set-up a multi-player game. When I go to the options screen I select the option to import characters with stats, exp, and items. I then import a character. On the character screen before you begin the game the items are listed. When I start the game and then check the inventory the items are gone. HELP! I'm knew at setting up a multi and really don't know what I'm doing wrong. The people I'm playing with and I are scheduled to start on Saturday. I really need to have this fixed by then. Thank you anybody who has a clue what to do.

I'm prwtty sure multi-player games start exactly the same as single-player ones, with your inventory stripped as soon as you start. You can save after Imoen appears and re-import your character, I believe. Or you can pause the game as soon as the game starts, before you hear the pain sound (while the screen is still black), and dump your items on the ground. Hope this helps.

Hey Reeka !

As the game is loading, hit the spacebar (pause button). Once it does load, it should be paused, and the side and botton panels should be open, if not hit the "H" button (Hide panels toggle). You can then access your inventory, and drop everything to the ground.

Once you resume the game, you will hear your shout, and black out. The game intro takes off, but once you have control again, you can pick your stuff off the ground.

Enjoy ! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/hihi.gif http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...ievalsmile.gif

What you are describing is normal. You are supposed to start the game with no items whatsoever (even with imported characters).

The only way to start the game with items is to save your game, then edit it with Shadow Keeper. If you go that route, expect to be able to sleepwalk through the start of the game if you give yourself a lot of stuff.

Ah, this would be the 'The Evil One is so sure we cannot escape from his horrible dungeons he has locked us all up in the same cellblock with our equipment readily to hand and with only a single dim-witted guard to oversee us' kind of game, eh? Cool! Nice to see things going back to basics once in a while.
