At what stage of the game or after how many quests do you give gaylenbayle the 20,000 gold to help you find imoen. Where does he take you and when does he lower the price down to 15,000 gold instead of 20,000 gold. How do you activate chapter 3 so you get out of chapter 2. thanks

wen u reach 15,000 gold then "some ppl" approach and talk to u... cant say coz i'd spoil it...
then u go and talk to GB or "your other contact" to activate chapter 3... i finished chapter 3 in probably 30 - 60 minutes... so its fairly short!!!

you can go to his house at any time (next to the dry-docked ship in the slums).
as soon as you have 15k, you will be approached by one of bodhis servants to arrange a meeting with her. at that point, either go to the meeting and accept or go to gaelan and pay.

Get the money and pay him as soon as you can. You'll then be in Chapter 3 but you can still do all the quests you haven't started/finished. I think he reduces the price to 15,000 as soon as you get to 20,000 and talk to him. You'll also get some useful equipment for your gold which makes things a bit easier.

I usually do a few quests such as the circus, freeing the slavers, and the sewers, rescuing Haerdalis; selling various bits of armour and stuff from the dead guys should give you enough gold.
