Does anyone know when the githyanki show up after Ive defeated the illithid dungeon n the underdark? Im interested in the piece of the vorpal sword that they carry so i can put it together.

Don't worry, when you leave Underdark and reach Athkatla in Chapter 6, you will be approach by a group of giths (sorry, can't spell the long version). One of them has the hilt for your silver blade.

It is in the Docks district somewhere around the middle and to the right, a group of Githyanki one of which is a Wild Mage will teleport in and threaten you, if you do not hand over the blade they will attack, if you slaughter them you get the hilt for the sword.

Actually, its in the middle of the map that you *first* go to when entering Athkalata, The docks, slums etc....

I met them in the docks.

Yeah yeah yeah, you know this is a spoiler. I encountered them in the Dock district after defeating Kangaxx (first thing I did when back on the surface), near the exit. I think its anywhere really though.

Yup each time I played the game they were in a different place. I recommend you visit the graveyard first when you get back from the underdark so you wont worry about hitting civilians.

It doesn't have to be the Docks, my encounters have been in Waukeen's Promenade (which resulted the death of several merchants), The Slums, and The Bridge District, I think it is the map where you first entered into Athkatla.

I'd say there are preset areas for them in all districts. I myself encountered them in the docks just below the left exit. I went to the docks because i wanted to assemble my bow of gesen and equalizer first of all. Yeah id say its wherever you enter first. They are really easy too, they just take a beating thats all.
