I read somewhere that the grand mastery in bg2 doens't give the bonusses statet in the manual (improvement of speed factor weapon)! I also found a patch to counteract this. My question is: does this problem truly exist and should I use the patch? The patch is NOT from black isle or however makes the bg2 patches and I really would'nt like to mess up the game in any way (feels somewhat like cheating!). I am using 5 point in long bow, so I wouldn't want to miss out on something. Does anyone got advice?

the patch from www.teambg.com does work. The problem was you didn't get the extra 1/2 attack per round you were supposed to be entitled to

And that is the only thing it changes right? But is this problem not possibly already fixed with the bg2 pacth (I really don't know how to check that however!).

I can't remember which version of the patch it was added in, but I believe it is in the most recent. Best place to look it up on would be the teambg site or the Readme file with the patch (if there is one)
