I saw something about downloading a weapon off the intenet but i dont know if thats cheating(is it because i dont know, by the way i dont like cheats) Thank you bye, From Meanal |
Mini Spoilers for Newbies
. . . . . . . . . . . . 1) You only have to worry about Clay Golems for that. 2) I believe your fists do count as blunt weapons but you need I think +2 weapons or better to affect them, which is about level 13??? for Monks. 3) Yes there is. Gauntlets of Crushing = +4 to hit +4 damage for fist attacks but you don't get them till chapter 4 or 5 and you have to make a right choice... |
Yes, it would be cheating, and no, there are no gloves. You do, however, have gauntlets which improve your overall fighting ability, and you can also use weapons instead of your fists. The advantage of using your fists (and feet) grows as your character grows in level, up to the point where you can kill creatures with a single blow. But there's no reason for not carrying along some (magical) weapons as well.
As for the golems, there are many different kinds of them. Some can indeed be harmed only by blunt weapons, others can be harmedby almost anything. There are even a few who are immune to magical weapons, and so can only be hit by regular ones, but those are very rare, and only in Throne of Bhaal, as far as I know. Point is, some are immune, most are not. And there is nothing wrong with sneaking or fleeing instead of fighting when you're having trouble killing your oponnents. You're welcome ;) Oh, and before I forget my manners; <font color="red"><font size=5><marquee>Welcome to the board!</marquee></font></font> [ 01-26-2002: Message edited by: Legolas ]</p> |
Thank you for the replys, but i still dont understand one tiny thing when a weapon has a + like the long sword+1 does that mean its magical because i have one of them

Hello and welcome Meanal!
Yes, +X means that the weapon is magic and has a +X enchantment. Normally, this means two things: your weapon gives you a +X to-hit bonus AND a +X damage bonus. Some more powerful weapons have different to-hit and damage bonuses. If a weapon isn't damaging a foe, try one with a higher to-hit bonus. -- Nifft |
