Hey- I'm a newbie to both BG2 and the BBS.

I've got a question I hope someone can help me out with.

I'm running a Human Dual-Class- an 8th Level Kensai/10th level Mage.

I want to get the Mages planar hold as my keep when the time comes- I'm worried that because of my fighter background, if I complete Nalia's quest the castle would become my stronghold.

Anyone know how it works for dual class characters? Can I get both? Will it only choose based upon my active class?

Uhhhhh...... I'm not too sure about that, But my guess is that the current class you are on(mage for you) would be the one.... If not, just save before finishing the quest and see.

Ok you can get 2 keeps, let me explain and its not legit when Nalia offers you her keep say not right now or something to that effect do the mage quest and then take her up on her offer.

You could just do the mage quest first and BTW it is the better stronghold. Just turn it down if it bothers you.

I don't think you can get 2 strongholds as a dual classed character. It is possible with a Multi-classed character. (May be a bug but who cares http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif )

I would prefer the mage stronghold, but it's early in the game, so I could really use the gold and XP...

Actually, go do Nalia's quest, just turn her down when she asks you to run the keep. You'll get the xp for the quest (substantial), and still will have the opportunity to get the mage stronghold (the better of the two strongholds).

clean out d'arnise keep. but when nalia offers it to you, don't take it. then get the planar sphere, the mage stronghold, (accept it from lavok) then go back to d'arnise keep, then accept it from nalia. then you have 2 strongholds.http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Are you guys sure about this? When I went back to Nalia, there wasn't a choice to get the Keep. Does she have to go to the Copper Coronet first? (There was a choice where she replied that she would go to the Copper Coronet to wait for me. Does she offer it there?)
