The skill "two handed weapons" is valid for the bows of 2 hands also, or alone the swords of 2 hands?
|
Don't think it affects bows as such.. Does affect 2-handed swords, quarterstaves, halberds, spears too I think. But that's it, not other weapons. Of course, I may be off, in which case there's someone who will correct me shortly..

Whailor is more or less right.
Two-Handed Weapon Style only affects melee weapons. It does not apply to ranged weapons. |
hmmmm Y doesnt it help bows???

it follows D&D rules, and 2 handed weapons never really mentioned bows and such. They would be classified as ranged weapons and in BG2 i think the only way is to put proficiencies directly under that category (bows)...i might be wrong though....

Qflash is right. In PnP bows are considered missile weapons and not 2handed.

Ask anyone who has studied weapons, whether through martial arts training or whatever, and they will tell you that the grips and stances used for bows are completely different from those used for two-handed swords or staves. Based on this, the "proficiencies" for bows and two-handed style are different, unless, of course, you choose to wield your longbow as a two-handed club.

Hmmm
I'm really sad about this. I put all the "stars" in 2 handed weapons thinking that will be aid my bow skills, but look that that i am wrong... :( |
It very specificly says somewhere in the game that weapon styles do not affect ranged weapons.
