In other words, I shall summon some monsters, petrify them and at last cast friendship on them so my party won't smah them to tiny tiny bits. Do you know if that works? Will they disapear after 8 hours like other summoned creatures, or will they still be there since they are dead.
Second, will they count as monsters I controll? can I still summon five monsters after creating a statue, or am I bound to only summon one with too many petrified creatures?

Well... That's really a strange idea. You can only have 5 summoned monsters at any time. Petrification doesn't kill the monsters unless you smash them, so I think they will dissapear.
