When you dual class in Bg1 and
transfer to Bg2 do you get to
choose kits for both classes or
just the first. Can you for example
be a Swashbuckler/Necromancer, a
Berserker/Cleric of Lathander, or
a Diviner/Jester? (just kidding on
the last one).

If you were a fighter in BG1 and dual-classed to thief, then transferred your character to BG2, your character will still be a plain fighter/thief.

there are just some dual-class combinations that can't be done under any circumstances. funny that you brought up the example of the berserker/cleric of Lathander......i just finished playing a fighter through BGI, and now i'm playing BGII with him--at the very beginning of the game, in Irenicus's dungeon, he dualed to a cleric. the thing was, i wanted to dual him to cleric of Lathander originally. apparently, you can only dual to a true class of something, and not a specialized one.
i dualled him as a 9th level berserker, and he is quite the ass-kicker, so i guess it's all good in the end. who needs that boon of lathander?http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no.../angryfire.gif
