Does anyway have a good picture that I could use for a very surly and evil looking dwarf? How about a Female mage? Some of the BG2 portraits are kinda lame (although I do like the Archer!).
If someone knows of a good site or pic let me know

how the hell do i get the custom pics from kirith to work? i've placed them in my bg2 portraits folder, but to no avail. anyone have a clue as to whats up? ANY advice would be much appreciated. thanx in advance.

Morgan, did you make sure you saved as bmp files rather than jpg files?

You would also need 2 sizes Small - 38x60 & Large - 110x170

I didn't have any problems with using the files.

If you can't bother to download, you can use Korgan's portrait for the dwarf and Edwin's portrait for the mage. But hey, why not download anyway? People need a variety in many things, why not in BG2?

Dwarves: they all luuk fairly surly to me. There are two or three in the back of the list which aren't Korgan. Pick any of 'em.


Female Mage: I like the prim-but-not-proper looking lavender and magenta female near the end of the list (dark hair up in a bun, human ears, cheeks that you could just nibble for --- er, ahem, excuse me).

Hee Morgan, I think I know what the problem is.

When you save the .bmp's to your hardrive, they automaticaly get a
really large name like 1242342354-elf2.bmp for example.
What you have to do is remove all those numbers at the front.
I think the names for the .bmp's have a max length or something.

After doing this, my portraits always worked fine.
