I am in chapter 5 in the underdark. I went to Ust Natha or whatever that city is named and I meet the dude that wanted to meet me out by the Illithid lair so I went out to meet him and I talked to him but before he could cast his spell to bring out the Illithid and the umber hulks you are supposed to kill so that you can rescue Phayri (or whatever that chicks name is) I went into the Illithid lair and beat it. Now I cant get him to say anything productive and therefore dont know what to do.
HELP ME PLEASE

You aren't screwed.

I did the same thing. Basically you end up fighting a different band of Mindflayers who appear at the entrance to the eastern tunnels. Meet the inkie Solufein at the eastern tunnels, and then the Mindflayers will appear along with the inkie Phaere that you are supposed to rescue.

if you try to talk to him and you get the red message "solufein has nothing to say to you" then yes, you are screwed. what i don't get is how you left. every time i've talked to him it immediately goes into cutscene mode and i can't control my characters until the summoning is done.
