I don't suppose there's any way to stop Fikragg from letting loose one of those fire-bomb-things, is there? Three times I've gotten him to "near death" and than the little *insert favorite profane word here* somehow manages to scorch the arses off of my party. Poor little Aerie gets shredded to pieces every time....he always seems to go for her.....
I know there are other Fikragg posts out there, but I don't have the time to look at them right now. Any help would be appreciated, but (BTW) I'm not a big cheese fan. Thanks in advance! |
Drinks Potions of Fire Resistance and/or Scrolls of Fire Protection and/or cast Fire Protection spells to boost your Fire Resistance to 100+%
The next time he fireballs you, you will not get hurt, and may even get healed if your Fire Resistance exceeds 100% [ 02-13-2002: Message edited by: Dundee Slaytern ]
|
with Aerie I use the fire sheild(red) and the cleris spell protection from fire( i think thats the right one )and shes basically untouchable

I also agree to use more pro fire potions and maybe scrolls since I don't know what your party make-up is.
If you got fire protection spells, use em. I know one of your guys has to have around 90 in fire protection from the armor there. In your case , since you bring em down to near death and seem to die from his breathe, I'd keep 2-3 fire potions on each person. After pausing to watch his health and yours, hit the report to check on how your protections are holding up. Sometimes they seem to go away quite fast - sometimes. Dunno if those can get dispelled by something. I have seen dispelling graphics and seen the dispell text when I'm near the dragon. Dunno what that is. Anyways, you just need the protections to gain you enough time to whack em dead if not already. I bought alot of potions from the lady in the southwestern corner of the bridge district. G'luck. |
You can also keep your characters back and laugh when he uses his breath weapon on wild dogs,ettercaps and such things.
Also the best way is not to let him do it.That means that you must kill him in less than a round... :D Try a time stop for that. Prepare a sequencer with 3 lower resistance Fire the sequencer Cast greater malison Cast finger of death. |

How does that differ from the "Fake-Talk" or trap strategies which r classified as cheese? - You dont need time stop to kill Firkraag? - Asking that question is also cheesy - I didnt realise cloudkill was fixed by TOB, i never use it - - - |
@PoesRaven
Cheese is taking advantage of a bad AI to make things easier. For example cloudkill.In PnP there would be no way that a Dragon would sit motionless waiting to die from a cloudkill. In my example you don't take advantage of an AI. The same thing can happen in a PnP game. About traps it isn't cheese to place them while out of the Dragons sight and then lure him there right?That's what traps are! :D However placing traps round the beast while it sits around doing nothing is cheese because you take advantage of its bad AI. So I ask again where do you see cheese. [ 02-14-2002: Message edited by: Helspanth ]
|
Pls see previous post.
Cheese can come in many different shapes and sizes |
