I've tried with the QND editor for mac, which'll let you change everything BUT your character's name. Any suggestions?

You could download Shadowkeeper from Ironworks BG2 download section. After its installed, select a saved game and you'll be able to change your name from there. That's the only way I know how. Have fun!

Thanks, but isn't shadowkeeper a PC file? I'm pretty sure that it is. I know, we Mac users and our "special" needs....but hey, this game is all new for us!!!
