Hello everyone, how about a roleplaying poem? I'll start the first few lines:

Of yore a maiden fairer than spring
Came upon the land
Bearing a harp of gold of silver
In her gentle hand
The peasants were joyous to meet her
And asked her to play
Upon her harp, which she did so well
They begged her to stay

The harp she played so well, so sweet,
it soon was heard by all.
And people came from far and near
to hear the harpist's call.

The king so bold, he heard of this
And came to hear her play
and thought, "A harpist fair as this
must surely be of th' fay."

He sent his men to catch her out
And bring her to his bed.
She eas'ly slipped from out their clutch
And danced away, unled.

The men gave chase and the maiden fled
'Til they entered a wood
Where upon a lake's crystal waters
A comely warrior stood

"Ho, friends," spake the mysterious stranger
"What transpires here?
Why pursue you all this lovely lass
Face so distraught with fear?"

She stood by him, her voice quite lost
Wond'ring what defiance would cost
"Run, fair sir, before tis too late!
To be a slave seems my sorrowful fate!"

"Nay, 'twould be cowardice and shame
For one merely to stand
And watch as acts of injustice
Prevail upon the land.

"Yet tell me now," asked the warrior
"Ye men who chase this maid;
Wherefore dost thou pursue her thus?
Who sent thee, truth be said?"

"The King us sent to fetch her back
To use her as he would.
Resist us not, for we be strong
And win you never could."

Then spake the youth, "Why, by my troth,
The king is in the wrong.
Resist I shall, though to my death
Be ye ne'er or not, so strong."

So fought they then, and at the last,
The King's men all were slain.
"Ay, me, good sir," the lass exclaimed
"Reward you would I fain."

They traveled far, o'er mountains high
And rivers deep and wide.
Till finally, they came to see
the Ocean's churning tide.

The king grew ill, through thoughts of her
And took him to his bed.
"Send horsemen out, and spies and thieves
To search for her," he said.

The lovers dwelt beside the sea,
And all the pleasures had.
They never thought about the King,
Or anything twas bad.

And in due course she bore a child
Bright-eyed and full of cheer
Beauteous like his father and mother
With a voice sweet to hear

Years passed; the child grew tall and strong
The envy of all men
Versed in his father's battle skills
as no one ever can

and yet, and yet to the south did bear,
a child so strong, and yet so fair,
a match to dark, a friend to light,
a warrioress to defend the right

With gleaming sword, and truth upheld,
she stalks the night, and day will dwell,
to right the wrong, and uphold the right,
watch your back, she stalks the night.

Their child did hear, through rumors queer
Of the dark girl stalking the night
And so he asked, with visiage grim
His parent's blessing to fight.

The King had died, long years ago,
So safe they felt themselves.
"My son," they said,"we'll send you forth
But, first, you must visit the elves."

The elves they armed him in plate of proof
And further honed his skills.
So, one fine day, they sent him forth
To search the plains and hills.
