Does anyone know how big Vvardenfell is appoximately in square miles (or kilometers, or acres for that matter)? It should be possible to do a fairly accurate survey using a whole lot of keys and the detect key spell. Theoretically you could lay out a grid of keys spaced 100 feet apart (or more - not sure of the upper limit of the spell.) and map out sections of the island. Of course it would be incredibly time consuming, but that hasn't stopped gamers before. Of course there may be an easier way to do it. Or it may have already been done.

To bad it's not multi-player. We could mount survey teams to survey the Red Mountain. One or two high level fighter types to guard against monsters, a couple civil servant types to go around and drop keys on the ground and a mage to do the detecting.

Geez, I'm such a geek.
