How does one place a constant effect on an item? For example I have a soul gem with a deadroth inside, and I have an equisite ring that I want to put reflect and absorb spells on it. How does one use "constant effect?" Do I need a stronger soul gem?

Shortly said: Ascended Sleeper or Golden Saint into a Grand Soul Gem (they fit only there).
In the enchanting menu, select constant effect. |
yeah only the GS or AS work for constant, although trapping Vivec himself, he may have a constant......

dont think you can trap npcs can u?
|
I'm not sure if you can or not...I don't see why not. My esteemed...colleage, who is also playing the game takes it upon himself to "retire" everyone he doesn't like or that irritates him or if in a bad mood kills. For example he was walking through the streets of Balmora and someone said something and he was sick of hearing it so he enraged the dark elf, killed him, and took his money. But he never soul traps any of the creatures or people he kills. I might ask him to do so.

slaughtering innocents is great in morrowind, noone seems to care overly much when you get high enough ;) but im pretty sure you cant soultrap npcs
|
You can't trap NPCs, but Vivec can be trapped, and yes, he grants constant effect...
Just remember Vivec is really useful for the main quest (although not strictly necessary), so think twice before killing him. Also, he's quite powerful, although not as much as one could expect from a god |
yeah i killed him after i finished, don't try this before you beat the game!!!
