So my Dunmer thief has been having a ball, stealing left, right and centre for the Thieves' Guild. After awhile, I go to Vivec and finding that I'm not high enough to get some decent jobs from Jim, I up and join House Hlaalu. No problem, they seem to like the way I do things, and it isn't too long before the first part of my stronghold is complete. However, when I go back to Vivec, Jim has disappeared. Nowhere to be seen. All I really need to know is is this part of the game, or is this game b*ggered?

Similarly, I'm having problems with a Legion quest. I've been asked to obtain some Dwemer artifacts from the potter in Ald'Ruhn, but there are none. I know that his sister is on the coast somewhere, so do I have to go and find her? Otherwise, I'm stuck.

yeah im having same problem finding the tube, but i just read a faq saying it IS there, you need to pick up all the pots on the table and it should be under one of them, it varies slightly in each game but it is on the table, just hidden, though im speaking from what i read, cos i still couldnt find it on mine by just looking, ill try moving the pots though and see what i come up with

It's there .... just look between the pots, may have to move some. You won't get tagged as a thief for this either. Take only the tube though or the quest jepordized.

Gentleman Jim should be in the waistworks in the foreign quarters, in the back of a bookshop. if he's not there, then i'm afraid it's a bug and in that case you have a problem. There is a way of "cheating" characters into the game though, you might wanna try that, if all else fails.

Yeah, funny about ol' Jim. One minute he's there, the next he's gone. Guess that's why he's the leader of the Thieves' Guild. :D I thought perhaps it was something that I'd done (or not done); there weren't any more jobs forthcoming, or for that fact for the Bel Molagmer (spelling?) either. Crazy Legs that hangs out the back gives you the standard response everytime I ask: Look around fool. Not very encouraging now is it...

did you go to other thieves guild and do all their quest?

its not cheating them johnny, its loading them fair and square to avoid bug problems, i had to do it myself, theres about 5 or so known buggy chars who will randomly disappear and you have no choice but to load them, its not cheating to do so, i had to do it to bypass a bug or id never be able to complete the main quest

Do you happen to know of a way i can get the mages guild to like me again ? It still annoys me that i've been expelled because i slept in someone else's bed. I've tried everything, but they all say the same.

well it all depends on who you bedded, i mean if it was just you then sure they'll take you back, but if you took that nice barmaid to someone elses bed, well i think your in trouble [img]tongue.gif[/img]

erm seriously, no i havent a clue, fighters guild let me back after thieving from them but percius mercius is a nice guy, the mages guild isnt so nice, so im not sure, if you talked to every mage going with no luck then i think you got no hope :(
