hey u know ive been playing for not too long and i was just wondering if anyone had any neat ideas for a character that i could try out. I mean i have my own but i was just looking to try something new u know how that goes right.

Since in this game you can eventually learn every skill into 100. Your character can be fighter, thief and mage at the same time. However, for RP purpose a pure mage is quite fun. I also like a sniper ( stealth , sneak , marksmanship ).

Anyway, try out some of the skills there, you'll eventually find out characters that you like.

SPOILERS ALERT!!! DO NOT READ IF YOU WANT YOUR GAME UNSPOILED!!!
OK, this is an uber character, so I'm warning you, it might make the game boring after a while.
Breton Atronach, focusing in willpower and intelligence, Destruction, Conjuration and some minor Healing spells. You'll be immune to spells, able to wear the blinding boots and barrage enemies with endless(really) fireballs. Pick a staff as weapon and light armor and you'll kill Vivec while you're just level 20. Once you think you're worthy go to the north-eaestern part of the map and kill a bunch of GS for an Ebony staff. You'll know why you did this once you get the staff. Your magicka can be replenished my enemy mages and summons(that's one of the reasons you're Breton, the summon ancestral spirit ability). Play this character only on +50 difficulty unless you want to be bored.

I'll have to try that, Bo'B: I was pretty dissappointed with the balance of power between mages and fighters...

Can I ask why a staff is better for this character than longblade?

As I said, it's all because the Ebony staff. The blade is a great choice, but the Ebony Staff can hold 90(ninety) enchantment. It's a bit more than the Daedric Dai-Katana or Two-Handed Axe with 24 enchantments.

eh, mages are good, but hard to start the game with. I'd rather go with a theif. Here's my character, and i had to turn the difficulty up, because it was getting too easy:

Male Kahjiit. Custom Class.
Main Skills: acrobatics, short blade, light armor, security, sneak.
Minor Skills: athletics, long sword, marksmanship, block, alchemy.

Notes: things i might have done differently--
Sign: i chose the ritual because of the initial healing spell that works once per day. This worked out okay, but the sign that gives you additional endurance is the best to start out with because you get tired less fast, you get more hitpoints per level up, and you never really need to add any more to your endurance (if youre a kahjiit male you start with 50 then).

Also, Alchemy may not have been the best choice for a minor skill. Armorer is better because you can just buy a bunch of hammers and repeatedly try to fix things, bringing up your skill, leveling you up, and saving money from smiths once you get good at the skill.

However, I'm level 48 right now, and just finished the main quest on morrowind, so now its off to tribunal. I'm going to post some general hints pretty soon, so look for that thread (although it will make the game WAY too easy).
