Okay well I started a new game a week or so ago; I have tribunal installed. As I understood it (and how it worked when I first installed tribunal halfway through my previous game), the first time you sleep you're interrupted by a baddie. However, this didn't happen for me. The first time I slept nothing happened, so I reloaded and then I was 'awoken by a noise' but nothing happened, so I reloaded and again nothing happened. I have since slept many times and still nothing. What's going on? Is there a level restriction or something that stops it happening before a certain time?

I think you have to be at least lvl 6 and you have to be in one of the major cities. Don't remember too well though .... been over a year.

I have the GotY edition on my Xbox, so I'm not sure if there would be any significant differences.

Anyway; I was at the Halfway Inn in Pelagiad, and I had also leveled up to lvl 9 when I had my first encounter. Funny thing is, the assassin went in the wrong room [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Those assasin should start attacking you by level 2. Just do things normally and sleep when needed. They'll bound to attack you the least you expected it.

It's funny actually - I read all your replies and tried to answer but was timed out, so I went to play morrowind instead and my last saved game I'd just had a sleep - when I went up the stairs there he was, waiting to kill me :rolleyes: :D .

Just to check, because I actually don't want to do the Tribunal quests at all, being severely underwhelmed last time - who do I talk to to stop the attacks in Mournhold? I just want to zip in and zip out [img]smile.gif[/img]

just for clarification, Xbox game your first attack is anytime after Level 6. PC game is anytime after Level 2.

it doesn't necessarily happen the first time you sleep either. but it could happen the first time. it's random. [img]smile.gif[/img]

oh yeah, when i report the attacks to the first guard i talk to, who by the way tells you about going to mournhold, the attacks always stop.
