The romance will start IIRC one or two in-game days after you've picked her up.

As long as you're not an Elf. She never wants to have romances with my full elves...

Yea, and Dwarves, Gnomes and Half-Orcs don't get her either. Dwarves and Half-Orcs don't get any of the romance-options. Life is sad when you're short & hairy or big & green...
