With second edition rules Drizzt is 15 level ranger-could be 16 I am not 100% sure-
and Elminster is level 29 mage AND chosen of Mystra

Elminster is a whole load of crap if you read the book the about him. He was a fighter, and then he dualed to a thief for awhile then he became the mage that he is now, per the book, and the choosen of mystra of course.
