Wanted to do a search on this website for Zhentarium but no search options, therefore I'll just ask here:
1)About the Book of Zhentarium, can someone give me a good hint where to find this book? Been looking but no luck. 2)I hate the riddle of trying to figure out the name that I'll have to give when I do go to the Umar Hills with the book. Can someone give maybe an easier hint please? I don't want the answer just something easier that that darn riddle. Again thanks very much Bee Gees. |
Do you mean the History of Zhentarim? (It helps to be accurate when asking these things, you know. ) That's part of the evil quest to make a set of human flesh armor. You need to speak to the book merchant in the Umar Hills after solving the Bridge District murders. You'll need his name (which you get from a note you've found in the murder investigation). That should help you. For what it's worth, the armor isn't very good.

just be aware that the bookmerchant is NOT the one in the room in the inn. I remember trying to get him to sell me the book and going slowly insane when he wouldn't. The one you want is part of the group of merchants outside
spoiler - - -- - -- - - - - - - His "secret" name is Darcin Cole |

I just killed that guy who sells you the book. Can sum1 post the stats for the skin armour, just me being curious

LOL! I had excacly the same problem. Looked EVERYWHERE for that book, only that find that you an only buy it in the Umar hills ;) And I think the armor is a +5 normal leather armor, only usable by evil characters.

That armor is EXCELLENT armor--among the best in the game. Not only is it Leather+5, but it also gives +4 (I think) to all your Saving Throws. BOO-YA! (Nothing better than near-immunity to every spell thrown at you)
Ar-Cunin, that was such a MAJOR spoiler that I think I'm going to go have dry heaves now. I realize that Kaneida wanted help and all, but the Human Flesh+5 is supposed to be your reward for figuring out a rather oblique puzzle, not carelessly reading too far on a message board. I once accidentally read the exact location of a very good item, before I'd ever found it for myself, and it really ticked me off. A More Generalized Set Of Hints: 1) The writer of the Tanner's Letter says that his secret name is based on the name of the Reijek's direct superior--the Mage in the tanner's basement. If you failed to catch his name, it was Vellin Dahn. 2) Figure out the letter-changes by yourself. If you can't do it, you can't do it. It's SUPPOSED to be difficult. 3) I couldn't get all of the letters, I think the wording of the letter might be a bit off. But I got enough of them to guess correctly on the 1st try, which is good enough. |
i just killed the fool and i must say it is handy :D
Do i need to say more?! |
