Hi everyone. This is my first question to this forum.
I've studied the information being shared here with great interest for several weeks now.

I havn't found anything about my biggest worries so far:
Some weeks ago Anomen tried to become a Knight, but failed because I hadn't finished the quest with the kidnapped boy. Then he got angry and attacked me. Sadly, .. I had to kill him!
It's too late to go back now, will this make it hard for me to finish the game?

Dont worry, you'll have no problems finishing SoA without Anomen. IMO, he's a lousy NPC.
But maybe you can tell us what other party members you have, so we can tell you what new NPC you should take into your party. Cause I'm sure that we'll find a good replacement for Anomen. ;) </font>

I'm currently in the Underdark, returning to the Drow city with blood from one of the beholders.
In my party:
Me - Elf Fighter/Thief lvl 12/14 Chaotic Neutral
Inmoen lvl 13/7
Jaheira lvl 12/13
Minsc lvl 15
Nalia lvl 13/4
And my favorite :D Edwin lvl 14

Any suggestions for replacements is welcomed. [img]smile.gif[/img]

IF you want another priest I would suggest Viconia, or otherwise Aerie.

But if I were you, I would maybe consider switching Nalia with Keldorn.
That way, your fighting-skills would be a bit better, plus that you'll get an NPC that knows a few cleric-spells.
But there is absolutely no need, you party looks good as it is. ;) </font>

Anomen a lousy NPC? Sure he's annoying, but he ROCKS later on in the game, especially with the TOB extra.

While it seems like everyone takes an eternity to level up, he's constantly advancing.

Hands down he's the best NPC in my current retinue.

I agree, Anomen is quite capable of opening up several cans of whoop-ass after his (successful) test and in ToB.

He's a bit of a prick if you don't romance him, though. The fact that he cuts back on the bragging after his test is his only saving grace.

well anomen isnt real a top class , there are better like : minsc , he is better in combat and he will be longer in your party , from the beginning [img]smile.gif[/img] so i prefer minsc over anomen

Minsc SHOULD be better in straight combat - he's a fighter based class with a single focus.

As for better in combat (with all things considered), towards the end of the game, I'd still pick Anomen. While Minsc is a better brick (again, not by much), Anomen has some powerful spells at his disposal to augment his straight melee.

How do I "test" him?
