What weapons work on the stronger vampires? I dont mean the ones that look like zombies, I mean the strong ones.

well do the "hold undead" spell and than

use daystar or mace of disruption

most of paladin weapons are good versus vamps.

Well, the 'normal' ones require +1 or better weapons, but for the 'special' ones (ie the ones with names) it depends. Some can be hit with +1, others require +2, and maybe there are even a few who require +3 or up. The weapons that do special damage against undead always work, regardless of their enchantment level (=the '+' bonus, enchantment level 1 means +1 etc.). The Mace of Disruption and Daystar have been mentioned, but also that Throwing Axe (can't remember it's name right now, it has a red pulsating glow), and of course Carsomyr, but that one works fine against positively everything.

Oh, and BTW, the way the vampires look says nothing about them being special in any way. ;) There are two avatars for vamps in the game, male (the ones you mentioned looking like zombies) and female (the ones wearing a dress). Both are used for generic vampires as well as for special vampires. The way to distinguish between them is the way they are named: generic vampires are called (depending on their level) Vampire, Vampyre, or Fledgling Vampire. Special vamps have a real name (Durst and Valen are two that spring to mind).

The daystar is an amazing weapon against undead. The sunray spell it fires can wipe almost an entire room of vampires. I Remember it being extremely useful in big bodhi battle
