Everytime I have Minsc use his Berserk ability,he attacks me or one of my NPCs afetr all enemies are dead.I have used Korgan(for brief periods),and he does not do this, even though he still is in berserk mode when all are enemies are dead.(Note when I have Anomen in my group,Minsc always attacks him, even if Anomen is the farthest NPC away from him,but then again who does'nt want to attack Anomen!)

LOL! Yet another character ingame who realises Anomens B*srardness.... Neway... Minscs Berserking is Unique.... He goes COMPLETELY out of Control... though on ocassions u can control him while berzerking... Korgan's bezerking is a different ability.... Anyway.. He will attack just about nething... Usually the most powerful thing around... And he will somtimes attack YOU even when enemies are around... So really its only best used as a last resort ;)

What happens in beserk mode anyway? What are the pros and cons? I've never understood it...

Well, for a complete description of the Berserker's and the Barbarian's Rage ability read their respective kit-descriptions. Both of these are different: Berserkers gain +2 to hit, +2 to damage, a -2 bonus to AC, immunity to certain spells and +15 HP, in accordance to that, they will be fatigued after they snap out of it. Barbarians get +'s to STR and CON, immunity to slightly different spells and a +2 penalty to AC, and they won't be fatigued afterwards. Both a Barbarian and a Berserker will be completely controllable when enraged. Minsc's Rage is different from both of these. He gains +2 to DEX and CON, an AC bonus (IIRC) and immunity to certain spells too (I'm not sure which ones, as there's no list of them anywhere). As opposed to the other berserking classes, you will lose all control of him while he's enraged, and he will just attack the nearest or most powerful enemy, switching to neutral NPCs or even party members if all enemies are slaughtered.

It seems good, but i've never used it because i don't want my guys to accidently kill civilians. Especially drow civilians...

That's only a risk if you use Minsc's Rage. Korgan, or a PC Berserker or Barbarian, has enough sense not to attack neutrals or party members even when going berserk. I never have Minsc use it either.
