My mate went out with a girl who looked like Ernie,so that's what everyone called her behind her back- it was the eyebrows y'no.,

He wouldn't have minded but he didn't tell her. How could he have? but then she wanted to know why everyone called him Bert. (he was Ernie's mate after all)

He ended up telling her all his mates thought he looked like Bert, she told him he had a point and started calling him that to.

The best bit is she said 'I guess that makes me Ernie' in front of everyone-cue lots of embarrased laughter, choking, manic giggling and my mate holding his head in his hands.

So they're now known as Bert and Ernie noones offended and she's the only person who hasn't got a clue how it all started.

My mate's still not to pleased about being called Bert though....

But Bert is definitely cooler.
