I was told today that our post office is requiring us to separate the company mail into three buckets.
Bucket #1 is for all normal-sized envelopes. Bucket #2 is for all large sized envelopes or over-sized. Bucket #3 is for all mail that has a stamp instead of metered. I had just began today to not use the gloves to sort mail, as I felt that things were getting back to normal. This makes me second-guess my new decision. I hate my job...;( [ 11-16-2001: Message edited by: Larry_OHF ]</p> |
This is a snippet of a conversation I overhead at church between a post office worker and our minister: "I don't want to die in Gardiner Lane [Louisville's main PO branch]."
You may think you have it bad but think how THEY must feel. BTW, I do sympathize. I work in the mailroom of a large insurance company and now have the option of using gloves to sort the mail. I don't, although I probably should (I'm not involved in the presorting process, and I figure that any nasty "surprises" will be revealed during that stage of opening the mail). |
