I want to play Multiplayer games for BG2:SoA but i can never connect to anything on GSA and it doesnt work if i start a game either. I have a cable modem and I play Unreal Tournament, Serious Sam, Q3, and Diablo 2 with no problem...whats goin on?

If you want to play together, remember timezones. I see that Ares is from Minnesota and Madman is from Scotland... not a good combination. Sorry, I don't know what could cause BG2 to misbehave like that, do you have a firewall? It might be the cause of your trouble, although then I don't understand why Diablo II etc. work.

Yes i have a firewall, but it lets other games through...unless i need specific ports open, but other games work...

Just because other games can get through it doesn't mean all games can go through. You might want to try disabling it. If it's a hardware firewall, see if you have a DMZ hosting option.

Try using a tcp/ip connection, tell those who are playing your ip address so they can connect. Be sure you all have IDENTICAL versions of the game including patches and add ons.

Disabling the firewall may not be necessary, I never have to with BG2.
But you MUST have identical versions of the game and your players may need to disable their firewalls or lower the level of protection.
