Like how threads that are over 80 posts long can just disappear. Who would delete such threads without explaination?

Hmm, I can't even recall the thread in question, but maybe it got out of hand (heated subject...) and one of the moderators deleted it?

The thread was started by Grand Ranger and basically had a go at vegetarians, Americans who criticised their own country, non-Americans who criticised the US.

There was some good stuff on it and now it's disappeared.

Well, usually heated discussions are locked, not deleted....

I'm glad you asked the question, <font color="red">Donut</font>. I was wondering what happened to that thread myself.

<font color="orange">Grojlach</font>, the thread didn't get too out of hand that I could see. There were some differences of opinion and a few strong Reply's, but nothing out of line that I saw. And, as <font color="cyan">Larry</font> pointed out, the Mods would've have just LOCKed the thread...not deleted it.

I did notice that this thread seem to "disappear" once before (about a week ago) and then it showed back up.

I'm sorry it's gone, there was some good debating going on.

No, the thread wasn't locked down that I'm aware of. Last time I saw it, everything looked ok. Well, could be a glitch, could be Choc had a midnight munchie attack and ate it, the author could have deleted it. Any number of possibilities, dear breakfast pastry! [img]smile.gif[/img]
