What actually does rendering mean? For example; On a 3D program what does it mean by rendering something. I know this sounds stupid but I want to know what it means [img]graemlins/awcrap.gif[/img]

Its the computer trying to make what you'll see when the level of the game your playing loads up. thats about the best i can describe it.

In 3d programs it means you have to wait and wait and wait and wait...
No seriously it means that the computer is drawing up what you created and calculating stuff like lights, shadows, textures and maps and that sort of thing.
