I've got a problem in my computer. Everytime i start my computer, there is this frustrating message appears:

---------------------------------------------
RUNDLL

Error loading nvclock.dll

The system cannot find the file specified.
---------------------------------------------

It prompts the user to click OK, but after that nothing happens, the computer continues to load its startup applications and it goes on just fine. Although this doesn't affect my computer but i would like to get rid of this annoying message. Can anyone help me???I know there are a lot of computer experts out there, please give me some advices, thank you in advance.

Sounds like an application you have is not loading right, check the msconfig utility and disable each app one at a time till you figure out which one caused the prob.

Wow sounds like you need to reinstall your app...

Nvclock.dll is part of you video card drivers. Goto www.nvidia.com and download a updated driver for you card. This should fix the problem.

Click on start then run then type in SFC and hit OK. This will verify that all required system files are there.

WOW...nick1979, you're great.I really did tried to update my driver for my GeForce 2 video card at the nvidia website, but the download was so slow(modem) that i cancelled the download. Will that have an affect on my current driver? I'll tried to update my driver when i get home then. Also thanks to those who took time to reply.

Please continue to post your opinions as i will be trying everyone of them untill that message disappears...thanks!

lol you could paint it black and then throw it away, then again, it would be better if you didn't try that. Serious now, if the driver update doesn't work out like it should, i suggest a clean install, never the most popular option, bu sometimes it's the only one. Anyway, good luck dude !
