I Saw a clip on the Chris Matthews Show on Sunday in regards to the film: Demolition Man.

(Scene with Stallone and Bullock)

Bullock: "I've been an enthusiast of your escapades for some time now. I have in fact perused some newsreels from the Schwarzenegger Library, and that time you took that car--"
Stallone: "Hold it! The Schwarzenegger Library?"
Bullock: "Yes, the Schwarzenegger Presidential Library. Wasn't he an actor when you--"
Stallone: "Stop! He was President?"
Bullock: "Yes. Even though he was not born in this country, his popularity at the time caused the 61st Amendment, which states that--"
Stallone: "I don't want to know."

Since the movie was made in 1993, I find it pretty amusing, will it be prophetic?

I'm not a big fan of Arnold being Governor of CA, but the clip really made me laugh. If it were possible for him to do that well for California, I guess it could happen!

Actually there is an attempt right now to ammend the constitution to allow foreign born citizens the right to run for president. I'm against it though, the present system has worked just fine.

I'm guessing you mean Carter & Clinton here!

i've been thinking about that very line since he started running for governor, eerie isn't it ;)

<font color=orange>Carter was one of the most moral up-standing Presidents of our time, but he couldn't run an economy worth a crap.
(Thought well of him as a man, just not as a President!)

Clinton was the most morally bankrupt President of our time, but our economy was pretty good during his tenure.
(Didn't like him at all.)

Two polar opposites!

Of course I don't really think Presidents have much of anything to do with the economy.

I remember hearing those lines in the film Mark. It got a few chuckles, and I am beting that the guys pushing for amendment watched the "moofie" too ;)

So what was the 61st Amendment in the movie? Just curious in case Arnold does make president.

I'm kinda wondering what Amendments 28 through 60 will be before we get to the one that will allow Arnold to run for President. Looks like there's a lot of work to do before it passes! :D
