Recently-- and for no apparent reason-- my main character has started bursting into flame every time he walks through a door. It resembles a ball of fire that surrounds him for a second or two. Since it did me no harm, I basically ignored it. A little while ago, it took the form of a column of flame. Still no damage to me, but then it hit me: is this a sign that I am running out of time to

regain my soul? Is the evil in me growing stronger? I hate to think that I might run out of time, especially since I am still having trouble with Jaheira (Please see my other thread and help me with THAT if you can...)
Any ideas? Or is it just a dumb glitch?

That sounds like a glitch, because i dont think you have a vertain amount of time to get your soul back. SPOILER!!

By the way, does anyone know if you can turn into the slayer whenever you want after the first time? do all your spells get erased after u become it?

Hmmm... I think there was a similar post a few weeks back, with the same problem of the person's main character bursting into flame... I don't think anybody found out what it was, though...

You get to turn into the Slayer at will soon. Just wait, and you'll gain the ability. And I don't think you lose spells, just that your reputation goes down a point each time you use it. ;)

I dont turn into the slayer because whenever I do, even if I turn back into me before I start getting damage, I still die. Is this a glitch?

Well, I am glad that I don't have a time limit. I am trying to imagine what npc's must think, though.

I was one of those on the 'other thread,' and yes, my PC would burst into flame when entering/leaving buildings and areas, too. I know for a fact that it only happened after he'd turned into the Slayer once (how soon after, I don't know), and it's never happened in my other games, where my PC never used the Slayer ability.

For the record, you lose 2 Rep. points each time you become the Slayer, or at least you do when your Rep. is high.

So, I guess you can confirm that it doesn't get progressively worse? Maybe in a week I will walk into a house and it'll explode... Lol

As far as I know, it never actually affects you at all. But I didn't finish the game with that party, so I can't know for sure.
