Today Dutch police arrested 38 people during a series of nation-wide raids against the Kurdish Worker's Party, the PKK. Twenty-nine suspects were detained at a suspected training camp in the town of Liempde, in the south of the country. The other arrests were made elsewhere in the country.
Police also searched ten houses, seizing night-glasses, instruction manuals and a fire weapon. Another four suspects were arrested over the past two weeks at Amsterdam's Schiphol airport. The justice ministry says the training camp prepared Kurds to fight in Turkey. The Dutch authorities stress that the raids are not related to the recent string of arrests of Muslim extremists following the murder of controversial film director Theo van Gogh. (rnw.nl) |
Great, just what we needed, more extremists. I hope they hand them over to the Turks, they know what to do with em.
