You are all goin on and on about the drow. What is the facination, it is futile

Helspanth 05-24-2002 09:14 AM

I don't find the drow fascinating either!

cyber7 05-24-2002 09:28 AM

Well Viconia is a Drown and she is quite fascinating

Well think about it, this ancient and wise elven people gone completely bad. You gotta admit that their past is kinda cool, with the war against the elves and the great descent, and now they are just downright evil, hating just about anything but themselves.
I mean the wery name of this race makes even some demons tremble.
I would agree thou that in BG2 the drow are made too weak.

Heh... I dunno, the Lesser Demon Prince seemed to struck fear in the Drow, not the other way round. ;)

i think drown are a week race..... Because in the underdark i have kill im all and stole the dragon eggs instead of do is missions.

My point exactly, the way the drow is being presentet in BG2 don`t really fit the description of a race that strikes terror throughout the realms. Don`t get me wrong, im not a big fan of the drow but they are a lot more fierce than the game lets on. I would recommend reading the dark elf trilogy, and see how you like the drow then.

Helspanth 05-24-2002 11:46 AM

Just keep in mind that the characters you control at BGII in the underdark are far more powerfull than the average drow.
A party of 6 16 level characters with the ADD rules can easily destroy civilazations!
The average human on the other hand doesn't stand a chance against an average drow in the underdark.
Also the race is feared and reviled for its evil NOT absolute power.

Toron 05-24-2002 12:03 PM

Point taken.
Of course they do not hold absolute power, but weak!!
