Starting in the South
This is a site worth surfing. :D Mosques, holy sites (Muslim and Christian), rural sites...an interesting and beautiful collection with links on the home page to more photos through the links under the heading, "More pictures: these, these or these are the genuine faces of Iraqis" That last link linked from here just because the boy is so cute and the second photo is just prophetically spooky from my perspective...lots of links on that page too. I am not posting this for the dialogue on the home page, nor for any of the links it contains...I haven't gone any farther into it than the two pages I have linked to here and I say this in case someone comes across something they disagree with and wants to get on my case about it. Late edit to move main link if you really needed to know. [ 04-10-2003, 11:42 PM: Message edited by: Lil Lil ] |
Curious what it all looks like now...

I am sure the Tree of Knowledge is still dead and that the mosques still stand.
The marshes Saddam drained are still dry and the ancient ruins are still both ancient and in ruins. ;) One obvious change...the people's smiles are bigger now. ;) edited because I wanted to edit it. [ 04-14-2003, 11:47 AM: Message edited by: Lil Lil ] |
