Pretty messed up society. I like to complain about our laws being to lax on criminals sometimes but really I guess I am thankful to live in a free country. Actually compared to this Russia under Communist rule could have been considered a free society.</font>

I know it's all a game, but it's pretty daft from Gere to forget where he was doing it, India isn't exactly the same as Amsterdam. If he would have done it in Pakistan, they would have probably hung him from the highest tree, India is not far behind those sentiments despite all the changes the country is going through.

I know, he had her all bent over backwards and everything LOL! Gah these celebs I think consider themselves above everything and everyone, and so maybe indeed he didn't bother to learn the culture and laws. Man I bet he's shi**ing his pants now though. When I saw the video. I thought he was going to sexually harassed the woman. He was very brave to do that right in front of everybody, and in front of the camera. And in India some more. What a stupid guy!

His acting is more of a crime than the kiss was. i don't know what the judge is thinking. Here is someone who raises MILLIONS for AIDS awareness and they want to toss him in jail for a kiss. This is a classic case of biting the hand that feeds.

Having one or two nuclear bombs doesn't make a country a superpower, India is still a country in development, but for now they are a third world country with a few big bombs, big deal.
