Does anybody know what speed the factory burners that make cd's burn at? If not what is the fastest burner anyone has ever seen?.

CD factories dont use burners, they use a totaly different technique that prints the whole disc at once, unlike a burner which lays on the data track sequentialy using a laser.

As for the fastest ive seen personaly, that would be a 16/16/48, although ive heard tell of a 24/24/64.

I use a 40x12x48 Liteon Rewriter. The only cd's I've been able to get at that speed though is Lasers. (not that I've looked around much). Usually I use Mitsuis though which is only a difference from the 2 minutes a laser takes to complete to around 3-4 minutes for a mitsui.
Oh yeah and these are 700mb cd's I am talking about. Haven't bought a 650mb for as long as I can remember.
